Shepherded by a Lamb

For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them
and lead them to living fountains of waters.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
Revelations 7:17

I’ve been contemplating what it is to be shepherded by The Lamb.

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them,
because they were wearied and cast away,
as sheep not having a shepherd.
Matthew 9:36

If you haven’t read Phillip Keller’s book A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23, I highly recommend it. (Find it here)

All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:6

Our sins were covered by the blood sacrifice of the perfect Lamb delivered to us from our loving and compassionate Heavenly Father!

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses…
Hebrews 4:15

Jesus was human like us.  He is never disappointed in you for He intimately knows your struggles. He will not reject you. A tremendous and terrible price was paid out of His own flesh to have you near.  Turn to Him and find rest for your soul!

This month on Friday, April 15th is Passover and Resurrection Sunday.  If you have never experienced a Passover meal in remembrance of Jesus’ final Passover (seder) meal, please email me and you will have a seat at my table.

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!
Revelation 5:12
